About Us
With Community In Mind
Our Mission
The mission of the NBNA is to provide a forum for collective action by nurses to investigate, define and advocate for the health care needs of African Americans and to implement strategies that ensure access to health care, equal to, or above health care standards of the larger society.
Whatever adversely affects BLACK PEOPLE, wherever they may be, whoever they may be, affects us all.
Dr. Lauranne Sams, NBNA Founding President
Looking To The Future
Our Vision
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum
Remembering The Past
Our History
Founded in 2000
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Racine Kenosha Wisconsin Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2000, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. Contact us to learn more and get involved.
